Are you sick of creating to-do lists that end up with more stuff on them than when you started?  Ending each day feeling exhausted and frustrated is frankly wearing you out and making life not so fun.

It’s time to revamp your to-do list and make it manageable for your life.

Here’s Your Mantra:

Here are four ways to start creating a daily to-do list that gets done and feels good. It’s time to reduce your anxiety and increase your joy.

  1. What’s Your Endgame? – How do you want to feel at the end of the day? Before writing out your to-do list each week, get clear on how you want to feel at the end of it all.
  2. Break It Down – Take out a sheet of paper, your favorite journal, or your device and write out everything that you think needs to be done in a typical week. Everything, leave nothing out.
  3. Decode, Delegate, Deploy –
    1. Decode – Take the above list and decode what needs to be done that week by you. Be honest with yourself, once you pair the list down it should average out to no more than 3-5 items per day.
    2. Delegate – Anything from that list that still needs to be done but you know you can delegate it to other family members, do that. Remember, you don’t live in your house alone so you shouldn’t be the only one doing all of the cooking, cleaning, and basic home maintenance.
    3. Deploy – Anything on that list that you just can’t or shouldn’t handle, needs to be outsourced. Whether it’s the lawn or deep cleaning your bathroom, don’t be afraid of outsourcing your duties especially if it is going to save you the time and energy of trying to DIY it.
  4. Git Her Done – Now that you have your list it’s time to get to work. Bust out your calendar for the next 7 days and begin plugging those items from your decode list into each day. Remember, each day should have no more than 3-5 items each day on it.
