Enjoying my life wasn’t always second nature to me. I used to spend a lot of time and energy trying to control and worry about shit that was totally out of my control. My entire day was based on what others felt, thought or needed. I spent a lot of energy doing things that I thought were expected of me. Although I always did a great job at whatever I completed my heart was rarely if ever in any project I touched. By the standards of others, I was successful, by my standards I was drained and devoid of fulfillment.

One day I came across this book called The Desire Map and my life changed. Becoming clear on how I wanted to feel was the missing cornerstone in my life. Not just looking at life from a space of what I needed to do was a game changer.

Now, here’s a disclaimer about feeling good. This doesn’t mean that you get to sit and bonbons and ice cream all day. While ignoring the necessary tasks to keep your family and business running. Feeling good about what you do means that you attach how you want to feel to every task you do. This transforms the task from a ‘got to’ to a “get to”. This method also doesn’t mean that you continue to say yes to stuff that no longer serves you.

This method doesn’t add to the overwhelm and stress of your life, it helps you to give it harmony and flow.
