Are you living a life created, or are you living a life assigned? How do you know if you’re living a life that you created or a life that someone else has constructed for you? Do you even know what  you want out of your life? Do you know how you want to feel at the end of each day, with your finances, your relationships, your career, your health?  “Do you know, where you going to? I started with all of these questions to get you stirred up. Where does one begin in the quest to answer all of the above questions?

With your feelings.

Knowing how you want to feel is one of the most important things that one should know the answer to. Too often we spend our time wrapped up in how other people want to feel and what they need that we don’t even take the time, space or energy to ask ourselves, “Hey girl what do you need to create a kick ass life? You know the one that makes you excited to get out of bed and get going?”

Let’s get down to feelings and how you can figure out and achieve the feelings you need to create a phenomenal life.

  1. What are the top 3 areas in your life? What areas of your life need the most change and or attention? Write those down and get clear on why those mean so much to you to get right. I’ve learned that if there is no ‘why’ attached to a thing (end goal) that we give up on it as soon as times get rocky. It doesn’t mean that we don’t care about it, we just don’t have anything to tie us emotionally to that area, so when life gets tough we naturally dump the stuff that has no meaning to us.
  2. How do you want to feel? In those three areas how do you want to feel at the end of each day? You only need three – five feelings, choose the ones that resonate with you the most and use those as your guidelines for creation. Take those words and paste them on your wall, type them in your phone, write them in your calendar or task list.
  3. Create your to-do list around how you want to feel. Yes, creating a to-do list around how you want to feel and not just off of what you have to do will allow you to have more endurance and to feel like you are in more control of your day and life. Adding tasks that are connected to your goals will allow you to create a life truly your own and get you closer to the awesome life you want.

When you are creating your day or life just around things that you “have” to do, you don’t feel like you’re in control of your own destiny. You feel more enslaved than empowered. When you create your life around how you want to feel, you find yourself creating wonderful experiences that will guide you to those feelings. You will find yourself living with more joy and passion. You will find your dreams coming to pass.
